Given, A person walks 10 km South taking left turn walks 12 km, again turning left walks 15 km.

According to the given information, we get the following figure,

The distance between the starting point and ending point is:

(AD)² = (AE)² + (DE)²

(AD)² = (12)² + (5)²

(AD)² = 144 + 25 (AD)² = 169 AD = √169

**AD = 13 km**

The distance from starting point to the ending point is 13 km.

Hence, **"13 km"** is the answer.
