Let the length of railway station A = x m

And let the speed of train = v m/sec

According to question,

For railway station A,

(x + 250) = v × 15 ----(1)

For railway station B,

(750 + 250) = v × 20

⇒ v = 1000/20 = 50 m/sec ----(2)

From (1) and (2) (x + 250) = 50 × 15 ⇒ x = 750 – 250 ⇒ x = 500 m

∴ Length of railway station A = 500 m
