Sample 1 Describe a Time when You Had to Wait for Something

Well, people wait for many things like they wait for buses or trains as well as guests. Similar situation I had also experienced when I was waiting for the rain to stop, but it was so intense that it really made me agitated. As a matter of fact, I had made a plan with my friend to go shopping because I had made it a few days before, but due to heavy rain, it seemed impossible to go outside. I thought when the weather would clear at that time, I could make my day, but it appeared impossible. During waiting time, I thought to finish my domestic chores, and I also watched a movie to relax, but I couldn’t enjoy it because I was tense by thinking again and again about my shopping plan that I had with my friend. I really felt awkward because I hardly get time to go outside with my friend due to my family responsibilities. Since then, I have thought of doing anything at that time, whenever I make it. I spoiled my mood and was unhappy. So that was the time when I waited for the rain to cease, but it was unstoppable.

Sample 2 Describe a Time when You Had to Wait for Something

There is no denying this conviction that special moments add colour to our life. A few times ago, I had a special occasion for which I had been waiting for a very long time.

It was my scholarship announcement. I got that scholarship, so I invited my friends and my family to a cafe near my home for the celebration. We were scheduled to have an appointment there, at 8 pm. I was so eager, that’s why I came early. Of course, none of them was there, but it was no problem because I listened to my favourite music while waiting for them. After I waited for an hour but nobody showed up still, I just worried, maybe I had reached the wrong place, so I checked my invitation chats, but I was sure I was in the right place.

The clock ticked so fast I started to feel uncomfortable and lost my patience; I began to text and call each of them to ask why they had not come yet. Unexpectedly, none of them answered, either my call or my messages. I was really fed up; as you can imagine, I had already made the reservation, so it would be impossible to cancel. I decided to wait for a couple more minutes until I couldn’t stand it anymore and decided to leave.

Suddenly, I heard the voice “Congratulations” cheer up in the coffee house. Out of nowhere, all of my friends and family suddenly appeared with a gift. They hugged me and told me that they were proud of me. It was such a surprise. My anger quickly gave way to laughter, and we had an unforgettable meeting until the next hours, drinking coffee and many more.

Part 3 Questions Describe a Time when You Had to Wait for Something

Question 1:- On what occasions do people have to wait every day?

Answer 1:- Well, individuals had to wait for various purposes like if they are job holders, then they wait for bus or train, and sometimes people wait for their guests to come, and students wait for their result after exams.Answer 2:- I guess waiting is a part of our everyday life, and we have to wait for many of the situations in our life. Let’s say, when we apply for a scholarship, we have to wait for the announcement results, or even when we order food at a restaurant, it needs time, so it needs to wait.

Question 2:- Do you think people can’t wait to invent new technologies?

Answer 1:- Yes, sometimes it happens due to the impatient nature of the people because they think that they should get everything within no time. They eagerly wait for new inventions like in the past people waited for 5G so that they could enjoy the fast speed of the internet and can search for anything. Similar situations can be seen when people wait for the COVID-19 vaccine.Answer 2:- In my humble opinion, yes, but this is a good challenge; growing impatience is an opportunity for people to engage in research and development in technology. People create inventions in technologies to make our life more comfortable.

Question 3:- Why do people hate waiting?

Answer 1:- People hate waiting because they have no patience, and waiting brings monotony and makes them agitated. So they avoid such unpleasant situations.Answer 2:- I guess it would be Time-Wasting. Let’s say nobody enjoys standing in a queue because it can be such a waste of time. As we know, time is precious, and our time could be spent on something else more productive, such as work or regular errands.

Question 4:- Do you think in the past people used to be more patient? Why?’

Answer 1:- Yes, of course, people in the past were very patient. The reason is that they had a healthy lifestyle and they value things to happen, but now the scenario has totally changed as people are impatient. They easily get depressed and don’t wait for things to happen. Now the people are the creator and destroyers, so that thing could not be found in those people.

Describe a time you made a decision to wait for something

Waiting really tests one's patience level; the one who can wait can create miracles. And sometimes we regret it after making a quick decision. Waiting is not a Cup of tea for impatient people. Investors and artists wait for the right time and they hit the nail on the head. By selecting the right time and place for action. Waiting can really help you make the right decisions. Which may have many benefits.

    Main Answer.

Here I am going to talk about an decision regarding an investment I made recently.

    - When it happened - What you waited for

I have been investigating the share market from my college days and it has taught me valuable lessons.Recently I wanted to invest some money in the stock market and I was planning to buy some good stocks. I just finalized some scripts and my friend called me and told me to wait until there is some big news coming in.

    - Why you made the decision

I made this decision just because I trust my friend and when says wait means there is something big coming. We are investors and we know the nerve of the share market. When I put my decision on hold for sometime I benefited. The market crashed and rates came down.

    - And explain how you felt while waiting.

While waiting I get second thoughts many times but I have to trust my intuition and take the call from my head not my heart. When I listen to my head I always benefit. It is really difficult to wait but sometimes we need to be practical to achieve targeted success.

Model Answer 2Describe a time you made a decision to wait for something.

Waiting actually tests one's patience levels. Everyone can not wait, especially in this fast paced world of technology people have become impatient. Today due to huge demand and limited supply we have to register and wait for many products, for example, electronic gadgets and vehicles. Waiting for worthy products always benefits us.

    - When it happened.-What you waited for.

Actually my father wanted to buy a new car and we already had two cars, one sedan and another hatchback so he was planning to buy a SUV and for this situation we had to make a decision and wait. A couple of months ago we decided to buy a Mahindra XUV700. It's an Indian car with a lot of features and this car beats all others in its segment so we wanted to buy this car. When we approached the dealership they made our bookings and told us to wait for six months.

    - Why did you make the decision?

This period of waiting was quite long and we all family members were eager to enjoy the new ride. Looking at other cars there was no car near to XUU700 so we decided to wait for this car. We wanted a car with good features and maximum security and on the top of all its an Indian manufactured car so it's like it's worth waiting for a good product.

    - And explain how you felt while waiting.

The feeling of waiting can not be explained in words, it reminds us with every heartbeat that we want something. In between I kept in touch with the dealership so whenever there is an update I can catch up. They told me if somebody from the registered buyers cancels their car we will give it to you. So I inquired every week to get an update on my car.

Follow Up Questions1 What do people in your country often do while waiting?

People do a lot of things when they are waiting it depends actually on the situation the first thing that people like to do when they are waiting in my country is they talk to each other and they make conversations related to ongoing topic the second thing is they like to make important phone calls or check the social media account apart from this some people like to read books on their mobile phones and listen to music when they are waiting students and children like to play video games when they are waiting.

2 Why do some people like a slow-paced life?

Some people are really very much attached to their cultures and their really value that traditions so they do not match up with the global standards and they want to stay rooted with their own local culture so they preference slow paced life they don't like the use of technology and they don't like everything so fast they like to do things in there original speed and their love peace and nature so they loves slow paced life.

3 Is being patient good for people? Why?

Being patient is absolutely good for people in this world of modern technology the first thing people are losing is there mental health and their becoming more impatient towards so many things so if a person can be patient for sometime they can definitely benefit in so many ways it is always fruitful to wait for something if time is required and being patient really benefit in a lot of ways.
