Describe when someone gave you something you wanted Sample 1:-

Well, I have received a number of things from my near and dear ones as presents. But here I would like to talk about a time when my grandfather helped me by giving me money as a birthday gift. I really wanted it at that time. This event made me highly elated. I explain it briefly.

About a couple of weeks ago, my parents had organized a birthday party on my 23rd birthday. It was a surprise party for me because they did not tell me about this party. On the day of my birthday, I passed my whole day as same as common days till evening time. Because at that time no one wished me for my birthday including my friends. Perhaps, my mom included them in her plan for a surprise birthday party.

I was feeling glooming for this behavior of my family members but I was astounded that they are doing something without informing me. Then, I was relaxing in my room, suddenly, my brother came and covered my eyes with his hands. He took me to the roof of my house.

After it, he said to me to open my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I saw that My parents as well as my some friends had organized a birthday party for me. I felt so astonished. They all wished me for my 23rd birthday. After it, I cut the cake and everybody who was at this event gave me presents. I thanked them.

Moreover, my grandfather gave me money, about 70 thousand rupees as a gift because he knew that I have need of a large amount of money to take admission in the computer course. Firstly I denied it but my mother said to me to take it. Because my grandfather was giving it to me as his love.

So, I accepted it. Furthermore, I have taken admission in bachelor of computer application course with that money.

All in all, this was the time when I received money as a gift from my grandfather. This event made me immensely glad. When someone gave me which I really wanted.

    Sample 2:-

Well! It is around 4 months ago, my mobile phone started to show problems like battery backup, the display was totally broken. So, I decided to buy a new mobile phone with advanced features. I thought I will buy Apple brand I phone 8+ which has 4.70 inches display, hexa core processor, 2 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, IOS 11 operating system, Rear camera 12 mega-pixel, Real Flash Dual LED, Front Camera 7-mega pixel. My old Samsung mobile really can’t compete with this I phone 8+. I was eagerly wanted this phone and I had also started to save money for it.

But soon my birthday came, on my birthday my brother bought it for me. I shocked when I saw a packed box of a mobile phone on my bed. It was just a happiest moment for me when I opened the box and saw a mobile phone which was exactly the same what I thought to buy. It was not only a present for me, but also a huge love of my brother. As this happened on my birthday, so, I invited all my friends to a party. I show to them my phone, all gave blessings to me for this. I must say that I will never forget that day and I will always remember how much my brother loves me.

    Sample Answer 1

    Introduction

Although I have received many gifts in my life, I got a present I wanted on one occasion. Hence it is worth mentioning.

    Who gave it to you?

My brother blessed me with a gift, and he gave me the thing which I was severely in need of

    What was the thing?

    It was a laptop.

    When you received it?

I received it on my birthday.

    Why you needed it?

I needed it because my country’s administration imposed a strict lockdown due to the corona pandemic, and my college started offering online classes instead of offline.

Since I did not have a laptop, I took a lot of work to attend classes online. Although I participated in the courses through my smartphone, its screen size needed to be improved.

I found it challenging to read the content written by the teacher on the whiteboard. Moreover, submitting the projects was also problematic because typing the content on a mobile phone is a time-consuming process.

Hence, due to the non-availability of the laptop, my life was going through a challenging phase.

How did you feel about it?

After getting the laptop, I was on cloud nine. Attending the class became easy for me, and The teacher’s whiteboard was visible to me.

Apart from this, I completed my projects and submitted them on time because typing the content and offering the presentation are relatively easy on a laptop compared to a smartphone.

Hence, with the laptop at my disposal, my performance increased appreciably, and I passed my exams with flying colours.

    Sample Answer 2

    Introduction

In life, we receive many gifts from our near and dear ones. Today I will talk about a special present which improved my life considerably.

    Who gave it to you?

My father gave it to me.

    What was the thing?

It was a scooter named Honda Activa.

    When you received it?

On my 18th birthday, he surprised me by gifting me this scooter.

    Why you needed it?

I needed it because for me going to college by public transport was a daunting task. Although it was close to my residence, there were many traffic lights, a due to that; the bus moved slowly.

Every day I used to waste two precious hours travelling to the college. The two-wheeler takes less space, and during traffic congestion, it is easy for us to move from one place to another.

Apart from this, most of my friends had two-wheelers, and I used to feel deprived.

How did you feel about it?

After getting the gift I badly needed, I was on cloud nine. It made my life better in many ways. Firstly it saved me time; before its arrival, I used to leave for the college at 9 am, but after getting it, I would go every day at 9 am. I used the saved time for personal grooming by joining a personality development institute.

Additionally, my confidence grew considerably. After all, I never missed occasions like birthday parties, special classes, seminars and presentations because my Active empowered me to go to many events despite traffic congestion.

It brought a paradigm shift in my life by allowing me to use my time productively.
