    Okay, so the length of the train is 160m, that means when the first point of the train reaches the pole, it further has to travel 160m so that the last point of the train crosses the pole.

    So the distance travelled, d= 160m

    This distance is covered in, t= 12sec

    So, the speed of the train, v= d/t=160/12=13.33m/s=13.33*(18/5)=48km/hr
