    We all know that in order to get a new mobile number, you need to give you Aadhaar card details. The government has also made it mandatory to link your mobile number to your Aadhaar card. But, do you know how many mobile numbers are associated with your Aadhaar number? Well, now you will be able to know it as the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has introduced a new web portal for it. The department has introduced a new portal known as Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management & Consumer Protection or TAFCOP that will enable users to check all the phones linked to their Aadhaar numbers. But how do you find it out? To make things easier for you, we have come up with a step-by-step guide through which you can easily check the list of mobile numbers registered with your Aadhaar card.

    How to Check All SIM Cards Registered on Your Aadhaar Card

    Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management & Consumer Protection (TAFCOP) has introduced a new website through which you can check all the mobile numbers that are registered on your Aadhaar card. However, as per the website, the service is currently available only for people living in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. It is expected that the service will be made available across different states in the near future. That being said, if you reside in these two states, then here’s how you can check all SIM cards registered on your Aadhaar card:

    Go to the tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in website. Alternatively, you can click on this link.

    Enter your mobile number in the dialogue box and click on Request OTP.

    Enter the OTP in the box and click on Submit.

    With this, you will be able to see all the numbers that have been linked to your Aadhaar card.

    How to Report If Any Mobile Number in the List is No Longer Required or Not Your Number

    If you found anomalies in the list, you can always report them on the same website. The portal gives you an option to report if any of the mobile number present in the list is no longer required or it is not your number. Here’s how you can do it:

    Go to the TAFCOP website or click on this link.

    Enter the mobile number, click on Request OTP and then enter the OTP code.

    Once you are logged in, you will see the list of numbers. There will be three options given beneath each number including ‘This is not my number’, ‘Not required’, and ‘Required’.

    If a mobile number is not yours you can click on This is not my number. If the number is no longer required then you can click on ‘not required’.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to report for the mobile number from the list.

    How Many Mobile Numbers Can Subscribers Hold in their Name?

    As per the website, a person can hold not more than nine multiple connections in his/her name. The portal explains that if a person is found to have more than nine multiple connections in his/her name, then he will be intimated by SMS. Furthermore, one has to go to the website to take the necessary steps to report the mobile numbers.

    Is TAFCOP Website available across the Country to Check Mobile Numbers Linked with Aadhaar Cards?

    No, currently the service is only available for Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, and Telangana customers.

    The Department of Telecommunications' (DoT) new portal -- Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management and Consumer Protection (TAF-COP) can help people check how many mobile numbers have been registered with their Aadhaar cards. The TAF-COP website allows telecom subscribers to check all the registered mobile numbers linked to their Aadhaar numbers. It is important to note that the major responsibility of handling the Customer Acquisition Form (CAF) lies with the service providers.

    However, this facility is currently available only to citizens of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir.

    According to existing DoT guidelines, an individual mobile subscriber can register up to nine mobile connections in his or her name.

    The facilities provided on TAF-COP portal:

    Subscribers having more than nine multiple connections in their name will be intimated by SMS

    Subscribers having more than nine multiple connections in their name can - Click here, to take necessary action

    Check the status 'Click here to login with your number' and enter the "Ticket ID Ref No" in the 'Request Status' tab

    Steps to check mobile numbers linked to your Aadhaar

    Visit the official website of TAF-COP on tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in

    Enter your mobile number and click on 'Request OTP'

    Enter the OTP and click on submit

    You can see the mobile numbers registered with your Aadhaar card

    You may choose to select the numbers that are not in your name or not required and submit your report.

    No action is required for the numbers you need to retain. If your mobile number is activated as a corporate connection then all related mobiles of your corporate will be listed.

    How to report if any mobile number is not yours or is no longer required

    Select that particular mobile number and choose any one of the three options to take action

    1) This is not my number

    2) Not required 3) Required

    Now, click on 'report'

    How to check if your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar

    Visit the UIDAI official portal -- www.uidai.gov.in

    Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number and security code (Captcha)

    Click on 'Send OTP'

    If your mobile is linked, you will receive an OTP. Enter the OTP and verify your mobile number

    If it is not linked, you will get a message: “Your mobile is not enrolled in our records”

    How to link mobile number with Aadhaar

    Download Aadhaar update/correction form from the UIDAI website or get it from the nearest Aadhaar centre

    Along with the filled form, submit a copy of your Aadhaar card and a photo identification document (PAN card, passport, voter ID, etc)

    Your biometrics and demographic information will be verified

    You will receive an acknowledgement slip and your mobile number will get linked to Aadhaar within a few days

    At the telecom service provider’s store, give your Aadhaar card and mobile number

    After biometric verification, you will receive an OTP and submit it to complete the verification process
