उत्तर-कहानी और नाटक दोनों गद्य विधाएँ हैं। इनमें जहाँ कुछ समानताएँ हैं, वहाँ कुछ असमानताएँ या अंतर भी हैं जो इस प्रकार है-

कहानी

1. कहानी एक ऐसी गद्य विधा है जिसमें जीवन के किसी अंक विशेष का मनोरंजन पूर्ण चित्रण किया जाता है।

2. कहानी का संबंध लेखक और पाठकों से होता है।

3. कहानी कहीं अथवा पढ़ी जाती है।

4. कहानी को आरंभ, मध्य और अंत के आधार पर बांटा जाता है।

5. कहानी में मंच सज्जा, संगीत तथा प्रकाश का महत्त्व नहीं है।

नाटक

1. नाटक एक ऐसी गद्य विधा है जिसका मंच पर अभिनय किया जाता है।

2. नाटक का संबंध लेखक, निर्देशक, दर्शक तथा श्रोताओं से है।

3. नाटक का मंच पर अभिनय किया जाता है।

4. नाटक को दृश्यों में विभाजित किया जाता है।

5. नाटक में मंच सज्जा, संगीत और प्रकाश व्यवस्था का विशेष महत्त्व होता है।

प्रश्न 2. कहानी को नाटक में किस प्रकार रूपांतरित किया जा सकता है ?

उत्तर-कहानी को नाटक में रूपांतरित करने के लिए अनेक महत्त्वपूर्ण बातों का ध्यान रखना आवश्यक है जो इस प्रकार है-

1. कहानी की कथावस्तु को समय और स्थान के आधार पर विभाजित किया जाता है।

2. कहानी में घटित विभिन्न घटनाओं के आधार पर दृश्यों का निर्माण किया जाता है।

3. कथावस्तु से संबंधित वातावरण की व्यवस्था की जाती है।

4: ध्वनि और प्रकाश व्यवस्था का ध्यान रखा जाता है।

5. कथावस्तु के अनुरूप मंच सज्जा और संगीत का निर्माण किया जाता है।

6. पात्रों के द्वंद्व को अभिनय के अनुरूप परिवर्तित किया जाता है।

7. संवादों को अभिनय के अनुरूप स्वरूप प्रदान किया जाता है।

8. कथानक को अभिनय के अनुरूप स्वरूप प्रदान किया जाता है।

प्रश्न 3. नाट्य रूपांतरण में किस प्रकार की मुख्य समस्या का सामना करना पड़ता है ?

प्रश्न 3. नाट्य रूपांतरण में किस प्रकार की मुख्य समस्या का सामना करना पड़ता है ? अथवा नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय कौन-कौन सी समस्याएँ आती हैं ?

उत्तर-नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय अनेक समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ता है जो इस प्रकार है-

1. सबसे प्रमुख समस्या कहानी के पात्रों के मनोभावों को कहानीकार द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रसंगों अथवा मानसिक द्वंद्वों के नाटकीय प्रस्तुति में आती है।

2. पात्रों के द्वंद्व को अभिनय के अनुरूप बनाने में समस्या आती है।

3. संवादों को नाटकीय रूप प्रदान करने समस्या आती है।

4. संगीत, ध्वनि और प्रकाश व्यवस्था करने में समस्या होती है।

5. कथानक को अभिनय के अनुरूप बनाने में समस्या होती है।

प्रश्न 4. कहानी का नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय किन-किन बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए ?

उत्तर-कहानी अथवा कथानक का नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय निम्नलिखित आवश्यक बातों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए-

1. कथानक के अनुसार ही दृश्य दिखाए जाने चाहिए।

2. नाटक के दृश्य बनाने से पहले उसका खाका तैयार करना चाहिए।

3. नाटकीय संवादों का कहानी के मूल संवादों के साथ मेल होना चाहिए।

4. कहानी के संवादों को नाट्य रूपांतरण में एक निश्चित स्थान मिलना चाहिए।

5. संवाद सहज, सरल, संक्षिप्त, सटीक, प्रभावशैली और बोलचाल की भाषा में होने चाहिए।

6. संवाद अधिक लंबे और ऊबाऊ नहीं होने चाहिए।

प्रश्न 5. कहानी के पात्र नाट्य रूपांतरण में किस प्रकार परिवर्तित किये जा सकते हैं ?

उत्तर-कहानी के पात्र नाट्य रूपांतरण में निम्न प्रकार से परिवर्तित किये जा सकते हैं-

1. नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय कहानी के पात्रों की दृश्यात्मकता का नाटक के पात्रों से मेल होना चाहिए।

2. पात्रों की भावभंगिमाओं तथा उनके व्यवहार का भी उचित ध्यान रखना चाहिए।

3. पात्र घटनाओं के अनुरूप मनोभावों को प्रस्तुत करने वाले होने चाहिए।

4. पात्र अभिनय के अनुरूप होने चाहिए।

5. पात्रों का मंच के साथ मेल होना चाहिए।

प्रश्न 6. कहानी का नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय दृश्य विभाजन कैसे करते हैं ?

उत्तर-कहानी का नाट्य रूपांतरण करते समय दृश्य विभाजन निम्न प्रकार करते हैं-

1. कहानी की कथावस्तु को समय और स्थान के आधार पर विभाजित करके दृश्य बनाए जाते हैं।

2. प्रत्येक दृश्य कथानक के अनुसार बनाया जाता है।

3. एक स्थान और समय पर घट रही घटना को एक दृश्य में लिया जाता है।

4. दूसरे स्थान और समय पर घट रही घटना को अलग दृश्यों में बांटा जाता है।

5. दृश्य विभाजन करते समय कथाक्रम और विकास का भी ध्यान रखा जाता है।
