    Because its description is remarkably similar to plum pudding, a traditional English delicacy, this model is commonly referred to as the plum pudding model of the atom.

    A tiny (positively charged) nucleus is surrounded by negative electrons travelling in orbits around the nucleus in Bohr's concept.

    Bohr discovered that electrons far away from the nucleus have more energy than electrons close to the nucleus.
