    The option A seems to be the logical choice, as others have pointed out. However, I believe that understanding the potential extent of the "damage", what kind of damage and how to avoided is more important to your question that simply agreeing on "damage" per se.

    I have found two articles (one of them is a thesis from the Department of the US Air Force Air Univesity) that try to explain the potential damage "bad practices" in SCM could impart in a company:
