**Formula used:**

Average = Sum of observations/Number of observations

**Calculation:**

First 10 prime numbers are (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29)

Average = (2 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 11 + 13 + 17 + 19 + 23 + 29)/10

⇒ Average = 129/10 ⇒ Average = 12.9

A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself.

Therefore the first ten prime numbers are

We know that

Average=Sum of the numbersNumber of numbers
