Cost of 1kg sugar = 195/13 = 15 Rs
So to find 21kg sugar = 15×21 = 315 Rs
2. Cost of 17kg rice = Rs 544
Cost of 1kg rice = 544/17= 32Rs
Cost of 26 kg of rice = 32×17 = 832 Rs
3. Cost of 21 kg wheat = 336 Rs.
Cost of 1 kg wheat = 336/21 = 16 Rs

How many kilograms of sugar costing Rs. 9 per kg must be mixed with 27 kg of sugar costing Rs. 7 per Kg so that there may be a gain of 10 % by selling the mixture at Rs. 9.24 per Kg?
Hi
I think the best approach these questions is by using the Rule of Alligation.
Here, the selling price per kg. is Rs. 9.24 at 10% profit.
If the cost per kg is Rs’a’, then we can say that : a + 10% of a = 9.24
OR 1.1 a = 9.24
OR a = Rs. 8.4 per kg.
Using alligation rule,
Ratio of 7 rs per kg to 9 rs per kg sugar => 0.6 : 1.4
= 3 : 7
Now, in the question Quantity of Rs.7 per kg sugar = 27.
So 3 corresponds to 27,
then 7 corresponds to ?
? => (27*7)/3 = 63 kg.
Hope this helps! :)
