The pressure at any point in a fluid at rest has the same magnitude in all directions.

In other words, when a certain pressure is applied at any point in a fluid at rest, the pressure is equally transmitted in all the directions and to every other point in the fluid. **It is known as Pascal’s Law.**

Pascal's Law:

Pascal's principle states that pressure applied to fluids is equally transmitted in all directions, to all parts of the fluid and to all parts of a container.

The increase in pressure at one point of the enclosed liquid in an equilibrium of rest is transmitted equally to all other points of the liquid and also to the walls of the container, provided the effect of gravity is neglected.
